15 May 2015Jupiter Race tips with Rob Hayles: four weeks to go
Rob Hayles proved an inspirational stand-in for the ambassador Peter Kennaugh at the Lee Valley VeloPark training day.
Team Telegraph, the four-rider group led by Telegraph cycling correspondent Tom Cary who are taking part in the Jupiter Race at the Jupiter London Nocturne in Smithfield Market, London, on June 6 were put through their paces by Hayles, who won three Olympic medals and two world championship golds during his glittering track career.
Hayles is providing weekly training tips in the lead-up to race day.
This time, Rob focused on pace judgement. “Don’t go off on your own,” he said.
“This is a test of aggregate time, remember. You’ve got to look after your weakest rider."
